As an ECE Community member, am I able to place a request for items UConn doesn't own?

Yes!  ECE students, Library Media Specialists, and instructors have Resource Sharing (borrowing books and articles from other libraries) privileges. You must use your UConn email address (@uconn.edu) when signing up for your Resource Sharing account in My ILLiad.

All ECE affiliates have a UConn email address, which redirects to a personal (usually school) email address. To get your UConn email address go to netid.uconn.edu, click "My NetID" in the top menu bar, click "Account Info" from the drop-down menu, then log in with your NetID and password. 

Please note, your UConn email address is an alias only, meaning all correspondence to your @uconn.edu address will be automatically forwarded to your school email address. You do not have an email mailbox at UConn and cannot log in to UConn's Microsoft 365 to access mail.
