Due to required quarantine and cleaning protocols, the Library cannot loan laptops or ipads at this time; this applies to all campus libraries.

University ITS maintains a modest pool of devices that are available to students for participation in their online courses. Students may borrow an iPad for the semester. Students who require more computing power (e.g., to access and run specific software), can borrow a laptop for up to one week, although extensions are permitted where justified and if the equipment is available. Students can initiate a loan through ITS by submitting a general help support request at

Individual regional campus IT departments do not have laptops to loan.

Yes!  Our campus libraries have a variety of equipment (including laptops, cameras, and more) available for loan.  Please note that these items are paid for by the University of Connecticut’s Student Technology Fee, and may only be checked out to UConn students.
