How do I appeal a library fine?

Use the Fine Appeal Form  to question any library fines or fees. State your reasons, including any extenuating circumstances that prevented you from returning library materials on time. The information you provide will help us reach a decision that is fair to you and other users of the library collection. (http://lib.uconn.edu/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/FINE_FEE_APPEAL_FORM.doc)

Once staff have reviewed the Fine Appeal Form, you will be notified via email as to the status of those charges. If you are affiliated with UConn, you will be notified via your official UConn email address. Incomplete information will suspend the processing of the Fine Appeal Form.

For information about fines and fees for your Interlibrary Services ILLiad materials, which are handled differently, please see the Interlibrary Services FAQ here: https://lib.uconn.edu/services/interlibrary-services/interlibrary-loan-faqs/.
