I'm a retiree from the University of Connecticut.  Can I still borrow books from the library?

Yes, University retirees are eligible for a Retiree ID card which provides library borrowing privileges.  Retiree ID cards are obtained at the One Card Office at the Wilbur Cross Building, 2nd Floor (860.486.3129).

Emeritus retirees receive faculty borrowing privileges (300 items, 180 day loan, 5 renewals unless requested by another borrower).  See Library Services for Faculty.
Non-emeritus retirees receive community borrower privileges (25 items, 30 day loan, 2 renewals unless requested by another borrower). See Community Borrower Program. (note: non-emeritus retirees share community borrower policies, but there is no associated cost using the Retiree ID card)
